Equations- Genesis 7:13-17

With a New Year ahead of us, there are somethings that we look forward to doing or not doing. These resolutions can be seen as a equation. I never was great at math ,but I know how important equations are to our lives. There is not one day that goes by that I don't use some type of equation. Now I ask you to look at your life as an equation. Everyday we are faced with the choice to "add" too, or "subtract" from our equation. Our choices sometimes put our lives out of balance. We must always consider what we are "adding" or "subtracting" from our equation (lives). The Bible gives us an example of how important equations are in our lives. God told Noah to build an Ark. We know the story, but there is something that must be stressed. God gave Noah an equation to build the Ark.(verses 16 & 17) Noah followed the equation exactly. He didn't "add" or "subtract" from it. If he had, the flood would have broken the Ark into pieces. What are you going to do about your equation in 2013? Are there somethings that need to be added or removed? John 14 verse 6 "Jesus saith unto him,I am the Way, the Truth, and the Life: no man cometh unto the Father, but by me.What an equation!! In this time of resolutions it may be time to add "this" equation to your life. May the Grace and Mercy of God be with us all in 2013, in Jesus name Amen.

Fig Leaves

We all share a common thing in life, PROBLEMS! The first problem happened in The Garden of Eden when Adam and Eve looked at each other and saw they were NAKED. The problem was that if they knew they were naked then surely God would know too. That was a problem. Was it because they didn't like what they saw or did they really liked what they saw? To solve the problem they sewed together fig leaves. FIG LEAVES!! This great idea still lives on today as we too try to solve our problems without God. Fig leaves don't last long, they dry up and crumble away then we have to get some more. But when God solves our problems and situations it's done. He killed an animal and made His creation some clothes, and a more permanent answer to their problem. As you look at your life how many times have you used Fig Leaves? Don't just put a patch on the tire, let God get you a new one! Stop using those Fig Leaves and turn to God, ask Him to fix the problem, okay! (read Genesis 3)
God Bless You
